Acara kami adalah lomba penulisan karya ilmiah yang ditujukan untuk anak anak kelas 10-12, dengan topik “Investing in the nature for the better future“. Topik utama ini kemudian dibagi lagi menjadi beberapa subtema yaitu :
New System for Sustainable Agriculture and Livestock
Human population keeps increasing every year, and it will be a challenge for us to maintain the production of food. New system for agricultural and livestock are needed to keep food available through many seasons in every country, such as genetic modified food, or new model for planting with less use of land.
Health Disease and Drug Development
According to WHO, total population in Indonesia is 257,564,000 people with the probability of dying between 15 and 60 years per 1000 population is 204/147 (m/f). Environmental health are now important since a number of environmental factors including pollution, climate change, water supply, sanitation, and food can contribute to the development and distribution of diseases in human, animal, and plants making it more prone to cause epidemic. Sustainable development is a type of development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. The goals and targets are universal, meaning they could be applied to all countries around the world, not just poor or developing countries.
Statistical Modelling of Indonesian Wildlife
A statistical model is a mathematical model that embodies a set of statistical assumptions concerning the generation of some sample data and similar data from a larger population. A statistical model represents, often in considerably idealized form, the data-generating process. The amount of Indonesian wildlife cannot be exactly determined because of the large area and population. However, through computing the statistical modelling formula, we can estimate the amount of the wildlife in the nature without counting them manually.
Pengumpulan karya ilmiah ini dimulai dari tanggal 9 Juni dan terakhir pengumpulan pada tanggal 25 Agustus. Setelah semua karya tulis dikumpulkan dan dinilai, akan ada presentasi bagi para peserta yang karyanya masuk ke final dan akan diadakan juga seminar pada tanggal 29 Septermber 2018.
